This morning’s update for Joplin Relief effort:
Our first team is on the ground working with the Red Cross. At this point they need supplies desperately. Food seems to be arriving okay, still needed:
Water
Work boots
Clothes, esp socks & underwear
Paper products: plates, cups, etc
Packing boxes and tape
Kids’ toys & stuffed animals & games
Toiletries including diapers & feminine products
These items can be dropped off at First Baptist Church Harvester in the Fellowship Hall back by the sound booth and we will send them down as we have space and transportation. We are also collecting money for rental equipment when they allow us to start helping with cleanup.
